I can’t stick around researching for a trivia post today but thought I’d drop in with this morsel from the #trivia twitter feed – is etymology ‘trivia’ – well I s’pose it is and it might be handy to remember this for that board T’Pursuit game or similar… I can’t help myself for trying to play along with the apparent schedule for post content here. Anyone made a recent trivia type post at their blog or recommend anyone else’s? A favourite archival post here to refresh from previous contributors? If so, add a springboard link in the comments.
Good morning /day /evening!
Did you know…?
A long, long time ago I committed to our TeamLady that I would try posting something for this. At the time, the schedule slots for this ‘feature’ were very much in demand and quite popular with readers here. Do you have a trivial ‘fact’ to share over coffee?
Did you know, this screenshot is shared by me under a CC0.1 – this isn’t from my photo and I do not know the creator, but would wish to offer a thank you for sharing their original high-res photo on unsplash (also under CC0.1) Very basically, that means dedicated to the internet and freely to every individual – although care should always be taken to respect the rights of others, naturally.
I don’t remember how the proforma for this post was intended to appear, but as we’re having a coffee break right now, thought I’d just post something very quick and trying to keep it simple.
Psst! Did you know… Taking a quick look from the sidebar category link, I found there actually appears to not be a fixed idea of how to present this post. Phew!
Surprise, surprise, I’d forgotten, did you know, that TuesdayTrivia started out as ‘Unknown Facts’ with Kristina’s opening post. And this feature is almost a year old, celebrating it’s postaversary on 9th February (or nearest Tuesday)!
Psst! It’s Michele Obama’s birthday today according to wiki – I should have bought cake for with that coffee! [All American readers and I guess many other global readers will have been aware of that but I had no idea!] Have a happy day Mrs Obama… and of course, anyone with a birthday today…Happy Birthday!
Novelist Anne Bronte was also born on this day (1820 – 28/5/1849):
“But he that dares not grasp the thorn Should never crave the rose.”
So, the trivia today is about my favorite character, Russell Ferguson the super-organized orange hedgehog. He is the only character that goes through De ja vu, as seen in the episode”In The Loop.” That episode is a parody of the movie, “Groundhog Day.” Both the movie and the episode involve the respective main characters to repeat the same day over and over until they like whoever is bothering them.
