The prompt for me was ‘Perspective’, shared by @arwen1968.
Thank you for the prompt.
Perspective was a difficult and a very interesting prompt.
My take on it is this image.
There is a difference between how we see the world, and how he sees it. Even if we try to know his perspective on life, we shall never be able to understand it completely. Our life might be a rough road with many ups and downs, but his life is a constant struggle.
I hope I did a little justice to my prompt. This image has been clicked by Gaurav. (Can I please flaunt? 😛 my boyfriend) I asked him to share this image with me.
You can all join in by posting on the prompt ‘Perspective’ on your own blog before next Thursday (15th Sept) and leaving a link to your post in the comments below.
The prompt for you, @sadhanacs for 15th September is ‘Smoke’.
Have a great day everybody.
Thanks to @niciacruz for this prompt. 🙂
A glimpse of light could have been a lot of things: the light at the end of a tunnel… the first rays of the sun at dawn… light streaming through a stained glass window… a solitary candle in the night… the gleam of a torch in the woods.
I opted for sunlight:
And now it’s your turn!
Join in by posting on the subject of A Glimpse of Light on your own blog before next Thursday (8 Sept) and leaving a link to your post in the comments below.
Or do you dare to take up a challenge? The 15 September slot is still open for volunteers to do a photopost right here on Bloggers’ World!
@niyati16, your prompt for 8 September is: Perspective.
This is my Summer in the City contribution. My little son, Leo, enjoying the sun in our terrace. Enjoy! @arwen1968
It was on 15 September that the Mayflower departed from Plymouth. It was also on 15 September that the Escorial was completed. 15 September is also the only date which is still free for our Shutterbug Showcase – so can someone please come forward to do the photopost on this memorable date? 🙂
Tag me @arwen1968 to nominate yourselves.
The challenge is open to all members of the forum: it’s a chance to call attention to your photography blog with a stunning photograph… to your quirky blog with a quirky photograph… or just to have some plain old fun while calling absolutely no attention to anything!
I immediately thought of this door in Downtown Panama City when I received this prompt. We were there for Layce and Benyi’s wedding and it was a special week spend with their family and friends. Today is Layce’s birthday and she and Benyi are celebrating it in Canada. This is Benji’s first trip to Layce’s home country.
Thanks to @sashay909 for this challenge.
Now, it is your turn! Share photographs for the prompt “doors”. You have until next Thursday to share your posts. After that @niciacruz will share her photograph for the prompt ‘Summer in the City’
It’s time for the Thursday feature to showcase your shutterbug talent! This week @beckybwinch gave me a prompt ‘Companion’.
Companion – the word brought to my mind my son and my sister, so I could not think of a better photograph to share than this one of us enjoying one of the days from the blizzard of Jan 2016. Hope you like it too!
Now, it is your turn! Share photographs that depict Companion/companionship for you. You have until next Thursday to share your posts. After that @cathylynnbrooks will share her photograph for the prompt ‘Doors‘.
It’s perhaps a bit early in the month but I like to be organised – besides which many of you might be going on holiday at some point and might not see this post for a while.
A quick reminder about Shutterbug Showcase: this is a weekly feature, running every Thursday. You are challenged to do a photo post on a topic named by the previous poster at the end of their post. Only one post – that of the person undertaking the challenge – will be published on Bloggers’ World (don’t forget to add the tags #photopost and #weekly). Everybody else is welcome to join in by posting responses to the same topic on their blog and linking to the photopost in the comments section.
Dates available for September are:
1 Sept: @arwen1968 (scheduler’s privilege, sorry! – I won’t abuse it often) 🙂
8 Sept: @niyati16
15 Sept: @sadhanacs
22 Sept: @adriennea3
29 Sept: @colettebates

Thanks for the excellent prompt @foodeezjunction. Must admit I struggled though as I rarely take photos indoors and all I could think of doing when I saw the prompt was disappearing off and sitting in a comfy seat with a book and a glass of wine! However I told myself to focus and so I did. I was scrolling through photographs I took a week or so ago and I came across this one.
Can you spot her in the corner? She’s in the top right, and looks very cosy up there. Although when I took a close up of her in her cosy corner I decided I’d probably not find her nest as cosy as she does! What does cosy corner make you think of? Do you have a cosy corner? Do leave a comment below, or even better take a photograph too and link back to this post. Next week it will be @sashay909 showcasing a photograph. I was going to suggest ‘drama’ for your prompt but the daily post did dramatic at weekend, so how about ‘companion‘ for next week.
Watching rains, while have a cup of hot chocolate coffee, is my idea to get relaxed.
Relax! I cannot think of a better word now, after a hectic days of travel and shifting from once city to another. And, so is the theme Jennifer (@jennifernicholewells) gave to me for this week’s Shutterbug Showcase. Thank you Jennifer 🙂
Well, this view is from my room’s window. I can sit here for hours and watch the birds, the greenery around and the kids at school too (that’s on the right, not captured in the pic). That’s my idea of getting relaxed. What’s yours? Let everyone know through your blogpost. Drop in the link in the comments section below until the next prompt.
Going by the rules, here is the Shutterbug Showcase weekly prompt for @beckybwinch for August 4 – A Cosy Corner.
