The positives to take out of the pandemic

This article from a blog called The Positive G reminded me of seeing the positive side of things as there is some good hidden in everything. I especially liked the part in which the author says, ” Sometimes when our lives are going at 100mph, we forget what means the most to us and in a weird way, this slowing down of life because of lockdowns has made me sit back and realise what great people I have in my life and how lucky I am.” If for nothing else I think we should just be grateful to God for the people around us with all their imperfections (as nobody is perfect) now that we are more at home.

I think we should put our faith and trust in The One Almighty God and believe that whatever He does is for the good. Being a Muslim I have been taught to say Alhamdolillah (Praise the Lord) for everything. because by doing so a believer wins in all situations whether good or bad.

Twitter poetry 2021: Week 3

My blogger-poet-friend Ingrid inspired me to create a Twitter account and start writing #APoemADay, which I began on January 1, 2021. I’ve been finding that I am particularly comfortable writing poems that reflect my more morbid thoughts in this micropoetry format, as I have expounded upon. Below is my 3rd week of Twitter poems: Shabbat Shalom from Jerusalem,David For […]

Twitter poetry 2021: Week 3

Usually, i am not supposed to share anything from same bloggers as frequently but since it’s my neighbor in space( to quote S. T. Coleridge) and a really Creative Writing inspiration: i feel obligated.

Remember to smell the flowers

A long time ago I had read a book of one of the world’s top leadership experts, Robin Sharma. In that book, Mr Sharma had written that it is important for us to celebrate even the small achievements that we make on the way to success.

If you think 2020 was bad let us make 2021 a good one

A virus that broke out in China just a year ago became a pandemic and spoiled the whole year for most people in the world. Yes, I am talking about Covid-19 for which the year 2020 was called a bad year, although all days belong to the One Almighty God and everything good or bad is from Him. A lot of people lost their lives throughout the world and businesses suffered leading to a financial crisis and unemployment for many people. But, you can work towards making 2021 a good and better year. And remember to say in your heart that all is well and it will eventually be if you trust God.

#Authorstory call

Just over a year ago, on 6th January 2016, @sashay909 got the ball rolling with the first in a series of feature posts called ‘Authors who made History’. That wonderful post featured the legendary William Shakespeare.

Thank you @piyushavir for confirming you’re ok for us to try and take your challenge forward, if anyone wishes to join in and maybe add to ideas or issue new small challenges within the theme. So I’m also sharing this extract (from my latest blogpost taking part in coolbeans’ MonthlyLookAhead…) Continue reading
