Has anyone ever done this? I was trying to look up information about this and the advice seems rather confusing. Some people say just copy and paste the text into a new post – others say that’s a very bad thing to do because duplicate content is FROWNED upon. Other people say just change the date on the post – the opposition say it’ll break your permalinks, and it won’t be visible on Reader anyhow! One advice was to use the reblog button but wordpress.com support you should instead make your post a sticky!
What I’m trying to do is to take a post from the time in the very beginning when I existed in a vacuum without followers 🙂 and share it. For what it’s worth the sticky post advice didn’t seem good advice for what I’m trying to do…
Any advice? @neatusername perhaps? You seem to know about such things.
Okay, that may sound a bit over-dramatic but the truth is that while we had a few awesome days filled with extraordinarily rocking stats in April and May, June has been a bit dismal. Continue reading
If any of you people run a bilingual blog, would you mind put your blog addresses here so I can have a look how it’s done? My blog is in English but I’ve got to do a bilingual post and I’m not sure how to do it. As I can see it, the options are:
- one post with the full text in one language first and then the other language below (this seems to involve tedious scrolling through a long post for the second language and which language am I going to do the title?)
- two identical posts in the two languages published at the same time (a bit annoying for followers to receive the same content twice in different languages especially if they can’t read one of them!)
- one post with the text alternating between the languages after each paragraph (wouldn’t that just plain annoy everybody?)
Any advice much gratefully received! 🙂
PS. I ought to add: the original post (in one language only) is already quite long as it’s a book review followed by an interview with the author so that I’m thinking to break it already into two parts or two pages (if I can only figure out how to do it!). And on top of that it needs to be bilingual.
It’s finally my summer vacation and I just published a life lately post here. I also need some tips to ace my job interview tomorrow!!
Love and light,
Please step forward to take over some of the Weekly Features – Sunday 13 word Story and Thursday Shutterbug Showcase mainly. All you would need to do is provide the prompt each week. I am unable to cope up with the workload.
In addition to my blog, I also have my own novel that I am currently working on and from today onwards more additional assignments that I need to give my attention to. Any #help in handling these features would be greatly appreciated.
When I first started blogging, some members of this forum have been a tremendous help to me and made some excellent conversations. I’ve been a follower since then and can’t say how happy I am to be invited. So I just wanted to drop in a quick thank you for all the help and support. Excited to be here 🙂
Can someone tell me if the posts saved as drafts in the app won’t display when you open it in browser? I wrote post as a draft on my phone in the WordPress app, but that didn’t show up in my drafts when I opened it in browser. #help
Thank you 🙂 You can check out my blog here..

I signed up for Writing101 – or whatever it was called, actually. 🙂 Now that there’s no common room, they told me to follow the tag Everyday Inspiration to connect with fellow coursers… Fine. And I mean, fine! It works just fine if I click the tag from the e-mail I received: it takes me to the Reader and I can see people doing the assignments.
But it’s tedious going to my e-mail client first, and then find the e-mail with the link, and then be taken to WordPress… every single time! I tried to add everyday-inspiration as a tag to the Reader but I get a lot of posts that… you know, inspirational posts! (I hate reading inspirational posts! Yes, I know, I know, they might just save somebody’s life! Not mine though.)
What am I doing wrong? Why doesn’t the tag work like it does when I follow it from the e-mail? And most importantly, how do I fix it?
Need help with the steps for adding logo to my blog. Been trying but no luck yet.
Please check tag search results for Wednesday’s and Friday 1 & Friday 2 features. You could click on the Features Menu on the right or use search box.
Please comment if they are correctly tagged.
What does one say to a blogger who leaves a shameless plug? I’ve tried editing their comments, explaining it politely but it doesn’t seem to be working. Please advise how to deal with this.
