It would be ideal, but there is no one-size-fits-all storage solution for maximising the freshness of various fruits. Some require a cocoon of temperate air, while others thrive when held below 40 degrees Fahrenheit. Some care and storage are clear (don’t leave berries at room temperature to spoil), while others are not. If you’ve ever wondered, “Can bananas be stored in the refrigerator?” or Where am I supposed to put this cantaloupe? We’ve got your back.


Tomatoes are one of the most consumed fruits in the world (Google just told me they are both a fruit and a vegetable). You should store them in a cool, dry place with lots of ventilation and washed right before use.

Tomatoes on the counter will last approximately a week, whereas refrigerated tomatoes will last twice as long.
(Although some claim that entire tomatoes should never be refrigerated since the meat becomes soft and mushy.)

When in doubt, freeze

If you won’t be able to eat all your fruit before it goes bad, consider freezing it. De-seed melons before cutting them into slices, cubes or balls. Peel bananas and freeze them whole, or in one-inch chunks on parchment paper. Rinse, drain, and spread berries in a single layer on a cookie sheet to avoid clumping. When frozen, transfer them to labeled plastic bags or containers, where they can stay for up to one year.

If you love good food and are okay with non-veg then you won’t be able to resist these Kababs from India. I am sharing this recipe from a blogger friend Vrishty Mukhi from India who had sent me a few more to share them on my blog.

In this recipe Vristy has first marinated boneless chicken with onion and capsicum in curd, before roasting it to give it a succulent flavor.

I hope you enjoy your weekend with this recipe of Chicken Tikka.


1/4 kg Boneless chicken
125 gms curd or yoghurt
1 tblsp. Ginger Garlic Paste
1 tsp. Red chilli powder
1/2  tsp. Turmeric powder
Thick cuts of onion and capsicum
Salt for taste



Take a bowl add curd,Turmeric powder and red chilli powder 😋👌pinch of salt ginger garlic paste…..and mix it…

Now take the boneless chicken ,the onion and the capsicum mix it with the curd marinate it…..

When you are ready to grill them into the oven..first heat the oven at 240⁰C for 15 to 20 minutes…next rinse the skewers and put them on alternative chicken onion and capsicum…..

Grill the kabab for 15 to 20 minutes and flip them grill them another 15 last five minutes polish the kabab with butter…after they turn red due to chilli powder……we are done with it now you can serve it with sauce 😋👌😀👍🙌😉…….

A homeless man can teach people with little money how well to use whatever God has blessed them with, instead of feeling miserable or grumbling. Many people have become jobless during the Covid-19 pandemic. Due to this, people are now having not much money to fulfill even their basic needs like food and clothing. But, my advise to such people would be don’t worry. Better days are coming. Meanwhile, learn to make the most of whatever you have got and please stop grumbling as it won’t help much.

A homeless man is defined as a man without a home or no fixed address. He is often looked down by society. There are countless news in which a homeless man was either killed, found dead or arrested for the murder of somebody.

But, I today I have to say that even such people can contribute to society. A homeless man is among those employed as masons when your beautiful homes are being built.In this article, I am sharing a recipe that two homeless men who work as masons make with whatever money they have earned in the day. These construction workers can teach people who are broke how well to use their scant resources and thank God for all His blessings. The article just reminded me of the famous song ‘Another Day in Paradise’ by Phil Collins.

The recipe of the Indian Kadhi is traditionally made from gram flour (besan) and curd (dahi). But, these poor men are money wise. The two laborers, Dharmender and Vinod, seen in the picture above are both in their mid-30s and homeless. They use their scant resources to make Kadhi without dahi.

Hearty tomato and white bean stew

Honestly I don’t like the flavor of raw tomatoes and rarely eat a slice of tomato. But, I love them cooked. I love the taste of tomato-based gravies and used to mix tomato sauce in everything I ate when I was younger.

So today I am sharing with you the recipe of a hearty, flexible stew which has tomato as its main ingredient along with white beans.

This stew comes together with pantry ingredients and delivers layers of flavors. Cherry tomatoes, roasted in olive oil to bring out their sweetness, add a pleasant freshness to this otherwise rich dish.

The backbone of this meal is onion, garlic, and red pepper flakes, to which white beans and stock are added and cooked until thick.

You may top it with some grated cheese, just before serving.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, when supermarket shelves can be lacking, it is only wise to make things from your pantry. If you are a smart cook, you already have a stash of canned as well as dried beans in your pantry! And the cherry tomatoes don’t seem to be in short supply in the market.
