Call for Admin Role!

As this forum needs a revival, it is difficult to run this forum alone. Catherine (@wynstep) has not answered to my previous post. I don’t know if she will. I don’t even know if she could harm the site. So, I have removed her admin priviledge.
A panel of three admins would be perfect. Even two would be fine.

Criteria:
1. Sincere for the cause of the forum.
2. Active participation in forum activities.
3. Innovative.

Celebration (Photo Prompt – 9 June)

Calling all photographers… that is:

Calling also all and sundry non-photographers who have something to say upon the subject of CELEBRATION – being this week’s prompt – in any shape or form, let it be a haiku or cocktail mixing instructions (as long as you’re accompanying it with a photo, obviously)!

The prompt is “valid” for a week (from Thursday 9 June to Wednesday 15 June).

England’s gone all patriotic in the last couple of weeks with Union Jacks hanging all over the place: one of the two yearly birthdays of the Queen is being celebrated… (Does this mean she gets two sets of presents?!)

Hello!

Dear friends, it’s nice to be back!
I apologize for disappearing so suddenly but two events happened at once which couldn’t be avoided (short holiday and waiting for my work visa).
Now that all is good and aligned (and with some new travel material too) I’m back to this fun community. How To Make A Post Sticky!

Hello Friends 🙂

This might have made a small post for our Tuesday feature, but I felt it’s important to address it now so that many volunteers can make a feature post sticky in time. If a post is there for many hours and I come online(like today for Pam’s post) I can make it sticky only after a considerable time has passed.

 

Then another featured post appears after a few hours and we have to remove this one–so it doesn’t get as much time on top as it should.

To rectify this–I feel we should all know how to make a post sticky. This post might help us in our personal blogs as well.

 

Steps:  Dashboard

1. Open a New Post in the WP admin. Or Edit Post.
2. In the right hand side–you will see Publish. There go to Visibility.
3. Click it to expand options. You will see a check-box :

“Stick this post to the front page.”

Check this mark as shown in the image.

Click OK

In the improved editor(in the blog), where we usually edit our posts:

Go to Advanced Settings and expand. There you will find a check box to do the same:

Poetry Competition?

Hello Friends 🙂

As many of us are not taking writing 101, I think we can invite entries for Poet’s Corner.

The idea #idea was suggested by Garth @garthmr ( Ivan also suggested something similar earlier ) @ivanproust I would like to discuss what exactly we should do. Should we open entries for 1 week every month and then declare winner based on the number of likes at the weekend?

If yes, then should we start this week and then keep it going like this for next months?

I need your valuable feedback #feedback. Especially all poets :
