Cracked Rear Viewer Turns 6 Months Old!

Since I’m new here at “Blogger’s World!”, I thought I’d introduce my site via today’s 6 month anniversary post. Your comments and suggestions are more than welcome!

It seems like just yesterday little CRV was born, but it was actually June 26, 2015! On that date I debuted my first post, a look at the early Peter Lorre noir The Face Behind the Mask. I was so green at the time I didn’t even know how to add pictures! Cracked Rear Viewer has come a long way since then, with a loyal following that seems to grow week by week. There’s now 154 posts (including this one) to choose from, covering everything from horror and science fiction to Western and gangster dramas to comedy classics. Though my main focus is films from the 1930’s to the 1970’s, I’ve occasionally stepped out of that box to look at movies from other eras. I’ve added ongoing series like CLEANING OUT THE DVR, THAT’S BLAXPLOITATION!, PRE-CODE CONFIDENTIAL, and the latest, ROCKIN’ N THE FILM WORLD, as well as NEWS & NOTES…

Introductions

Hello everyone, my name is Josh and I have been graciously added to this forum by Anand. At his behest, I’d like to share a few things about myself.

I am a relatively new blogger, and I use WordPress to share information about two of my favorite topics: wildlife and human psychology. Until this past June I was studying to become a mental health counselor, thinking I could advocate for the natural world as a hobby. But after performing volunteer research concerning jaguars for the Center for Biological Diversity, I realized I had it all wrong. So now I am applying to graduate programs related to the emerging field of conservation psychology. This will allow me to use my knowledge about human behavior to create a better future for people and wildlife.

In the meantime, I am happy to share my passions with all of you. I am currently spending lots of time reading about big cats and psychology, and I write about what I learn on my blog: The Jaguar and its Allies. I also look forward to learning more about all of you. WordPress has enabled me to connect with many interesting people around the world, and I hope to be able to connect with you as well.

Once again, I would like to thank Anand for inviting me to join this forum.

Hello,

My name is Genevieve I recently started blogging here on WordPress. My blog is Just a lady with a blog. Even though I’m so new to this and really wasn’t sure what I wanted to blog about, I gained a following very quickly. I really just started searching out blogs and following people. Lots of those people came and checked me out liked what they saw. I still don’t know what to categorize my blog as maybe lifestyle? I have been writing most of my life mostly song writing, some short stories. I started a novel and was close to completion when a small accident wioed most if it away. I have been in a writing slump ever since. I started this blog as a baby step into writing again. I missed out a lot in blogging 101 it ended up being such a busy time for me. It’s like I got into it finally and it was over! I really appreciate this forum I think it’s a resource I will be loving as I’m still just trying to navigate my way through the blog world. I think that’s why I chose the name I did, like I’m just another lady with a blog in the vastness that is. I’m so glad I’m here though I’m enjoying being a part of this community even more so than some of my personal social media!
