Eid 2021 blogging party

Sheer Khurma served in clay pots in a silver tray India celebrated Eid-ul-Fitr or the “Festival of The Believers who Fast” on the auspicious day of May 14, Friday. The festival, which is celebrated by Muslims across the world, marks the end of the month of Ramadan during which people fast from dawn to sunset and worship the One Almighty God as much as they can. In India we share sweet dishes, called Sheer Khurma and Sevai, with our neighbors and friends, including non-Muslims, during the festival. While Sevai is plain vermicelli cooked in milk, Sheer Khurma is a bowl full of milk in which nuts and dry fruits have been cooked along with broken vermicelli. Today, being the third and last day of the festival, I am inviting you to this blogging party where I am sharing the treats through images. I hope you like it. While looking for a pic of Sheer Khurma to share with you, I stumbled upon a recipe of the delicacy from a Hindu girl. In the post, the girl has shared her love for the treat which she used to receive from her Muslim friend’s family. I am sharing the same with you all as we have all been created by the same Beneficent God. You will find the recipe here: https://www.cookwithmanali.com/sheer-khurma/
