Weekly Photo Challenge

I saw you do this weekly photo challenge – I’m interested in it too but I can’t figure out how to get notifications of it other than by remembering to go to the website and check if they put up the new challenge which seems somewhat tedious! I tried to sign up for the Daily Post but they send me loads of stuff which I’m not interested in… and the photo challenge prompt doesn’t even stand out by the subject line among all their e-mails. Can I ask how do you find out what the new challenge is each week? And also what does one do if wanting to join, just post and tag it weekly photo challenge? Because there doesn’t seem to be anywhere to submit the links to your post to?

oh so glad I’m not the only one who struggles with this! It comes out every Friday and so I tend to ignore everything but the Friday emails now, so maybe if you have an electronic diary or task list you could make a note as a reminder?

  Yesterday I switched to e-mail notifications once a week so I’ll have to see how that works… 🙂 The only thing is I don’t know which day of the week the e-mail will come. Obviously, if the challenge comes out on Friday, that’s good because the weekend is the best chance for going off to hunt for a good photo. I really think I explored every tree, street corner, tube station and post box on my route to work by now from every possible angle and in every possible weather condition! I once even photographed rubbish thrown on the street! 🙂

Hi! there are two ways I follow WPC. Either I check WPC website else some bloggers are quick enough to post response so I get to know the theme. I follow quite some bloggers taking part in WPC challenge. I think these two are best methods for me. hope this helps.

  Thanks @jaipurthrumylens! I was beginning to think that I should just bookmark the page and try to get into the habit of checking it regularly. It’s the checking regularly bit that’s going to be a problem. 🙂 Maybe I should follow your example and find a blogger to follow. Although I already seem to be following more bloggers than what’s good for me! I don’t know how other people manage to follow dozens of blogs plus all the social media…!

I only did it once, and I am not sure myself how to do it correctly. I’m going to look into probably this week, as I am now going to not be traveling for a couple of months. Have you connected with anyone at Bloggers World?

      No, me neither. I like to keep some privacy. Sure you could track me down online if you were desperate to but I don’t see why anyone would be that desperate. 🙂 But I like to able to write on my blog whatever I want without offending people or worrying about whether I’m sharing too much information. Because once it’s out there, you can’t call it back.

I check the challenge every week. And either post new pics or ping-back previously share pics.
Ping-back is when you include the url of the challenge and link it to a word or line in your post.
There is no other way of participating or posting your pics.

Hi @beckybwinch, @jaipurthrumylens, @vellissima, @piyushavir and whoever else is interested in photo challenges…

I know of two more photo challenges that I find interesting so I thought I’d share them here: one is Art in the Street and the other is Travel Theme. They are both weekly.

I don’t know about you but I don’t always have the time, chance or inspiration to respond to a challenge… but I thought I will try one of the Daily Post ones soon!
